My name is Rachel, and I started Monti's Bakery in honor of my childhood dog named, you guessed it, Monti. We're a woman-owned home bakery based in sunny Los Angeles, serving up treats at local farmer's markets and delivering straight to your door.
Our mission is simple: bake delicious food that serves a purpose. A portion of every purchase goes toward supporting animal shelters like Best Friends Animal Society, so every treat helps a cause.
All About Monti and Me
Monti was my childhood dog, my best friend, and quite possible my first life coach. His spunk and unwavering positivity helped me through many challenges.I loved him so much that I even had a photoshoot with him when I got my childhood braces off (see above for photographic proof). While Monti has since crossed over the rainbow bridge, this bakery is a tribute to the love and acceptance he brought into my life.
I began cooking and baking when I was four years old, and for the past decade, I've worked as a private chef and caterer. This bakery is a realization of a lifelong dream—to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space where food brings people (and pups) together.
